Ubuntu machine not visible on internal network
I have the following problem. My laptop with Ubuntu can connect to my home
network without any problems, but it's internal IP (10.0.0.5) is not
visible to any other machine on the network. I have tried pinging it from
the other (Windows) computer and an Iphone, no success. Pinging between
other devices works fine. Also this particular device does not show up on
my Netgear router's 'Attached devices' - every other does. What I'm
ultimately trying to do is to connect to JBoss on 8080 from the Windows
machine.

I tried installing samba (that's when the 'rename3' interface showed up (I
have no idea what it is) - before eth2 was used), this didn't help either.
I also can't see the Windows machine in 'Browse Network' I don't really
care about that though.
Any help appreciated. Thanks!
